Apartment CBE

ph. Federico Villa

A composition of concentric frames in the entryway parquet, from which the herringbone pattern flows into the other rooms, becomes the common thread of an apartment suspended between historical memory and contemporary style.
_

The classic details of high-end Milanese homes, including the wall and ceiling moldings and the custom parquet pattern, set the rhythm of the rooms and restore the apartment’s original character. These elements are balanced by decidedly more contemporary features: the kitchen and bathrooms, finished with modern, technically advanced surfaces, bring the design into the present without disrupting the cohesion of the whole.

What holds the two sides of the apartment together is a keen eye for the unexpected detail. The wardrobe in the master bedroom, for instance, is more than just storage: it conceals the entrance to the walk-in closet and, from there, to the private bathroom, transforming a functional element into a small spatial sequence with a sense of discovery. It is through these clever solutions that the design reveals its care for those who experience it every day.
