The elegance of historic Milan meets the warmth of an open, boundless conviviality: an early 20th-century apartment reimagined through a tailored dialogue between historical memory, contemporary geometries, and the textural strength of marble.

In Brera, within an early 20th-century building, the project restores identity to a home that had gradually lost its original character. Stemming from the encounter with a young Italian-Brazilian family, the renovation pairs elements of Milanese bourgeois tradition with contemporary interventions rich in materiality.

The heart of the home reflects a distinct living concept: a fluid, continuous living area free of rigid divisions, designed for natural, shared conviviality from apéritif to dinner. A copper-finished metallic portal marks the visual transitions, while Taj Mahal quartzite defines the space’s standout volumes—from the fluted monolith in the living room to the massive island in the kitchen. Every piece of millwork is custom-designed to balance aesthetics with maximum storage capacity, completed by a secluded study overlooking the lush terrace: a refined balance between historical presence and the demands of contemporary life.
