An international competition in Brussels, developed in collaboration with Patricia Urquiola, Onsitestudio, and Piovenefabi. The starting point is the building's facade: a sequence of bay and bow windows that does more than just define the exterior, it becomes the driving principle behind the interior design.
_
The facade's projections are reinterpreted as spatial opportunities within the rooms. Each bay and bow window becomes a space within a space: an outlook over the city, a quiet spot to pause, and a filter between the privacy of the room and the urban landscape outside. The geometry of the facade steps indoors, defining the room's character.
The design unfolds as a cohesive system where the building's distinct architecture becomes a key design asset, an approach that centers on the identity of the place, translating it into a guest experience that gives visitors a true sense of being in Brussels.
