A villa in Monferrato, reclaimed from a ruin. The design starts with what was already there, honoring its original materials and history, and transforms them into spaces tailored for contemporary living.

The barn has become the heart of the home: a grand living area with an open kitchen, where the generous volume of the original structure translates into an open, welcoming space. Throughout the other rooms, carved from the original building envelope, the decision was to preserve traditional rural materials as structural, defining elements of the space, rather than nostalgic nods.

The result is a home that carries the warmth of its history, with an authentic ruggedness that the design chose to embrace rather than smooth away.
